Cornwall has updated the dog friendly status of many beaches in 2020 in a big overhaul. It’s great news for dog owners has many restrictions have been relaxed meaning our beaches can welcome our four legged friends all year round, but read on as rules do still apply.
In our locations the vast majority of beaches will have no restrictions in place besides the 1st July and 31st August between the times of 10am to 6pm when dogs will not be allowed on designated beaches. These designated beaches include
Porthminster, St Ives
Porthgwidden, St Ives
Harbour Beach, St Ives
Carbis Bay, St Ives
Battery Rocks to Newlyn Green, Penzance
Penzance Harbour to Marazion
Mousehole beach to Skilly beach
Hayle Towans to Godrevy Point
In addition please note Blue Flag beaches have different restrictions. Dogs are not allowed on the following beaches between 15th May and 30th September between 10am and 6pm.
